略歴

思春期

[ Adolescence ]

~1999

幼少の頃より漫画やアニメに影響され、絵を描くことが趣味に。10代後半に出会ったスプレーを用いたグラフィティアートや、シルクスクリーンによるパンクロックバンドのポスターに強い影響を受けて、デザイン系専門学校へと進学。

From early childhood, I was influenced by manga and anime, which led me to develop a passion for drawing. In my late teens, I was strongly inspired by spray-based graffiti art and punk rock band posters created using silkscreen techniques, which motivated me to pursue studies at a design vocational school.

新社会人期

[ Early Career Phase ]

1999~2001

就職氷河期に、輸入車系媒体(雑誌・Web)の広告代理店に、アプリケーションはなんでもできるとハッタリをかまして入社。デジタル転換期と、自社媒体創刊が重なり、入社早々完徹地獄を味わう。得意のイラストを気に入ってもらえて、度々使われたことも。世間知らずで生意気なクソガキが、社会の厳しさを学んだ期間。

During the “employment ice age,” I bluffed my way into a job at an advertising agency for imported car media (magazines and web), claiming I could handle any kind of application. As the industry was shifting to digital and the company was launching its own publications at the same time, I was thrown into a grueling routine of all-night work almost immediately after joining. My illustrations—one of my strengths—were well received and frequently used. It was a period when I, an inexperienced and cheeky brat, learned the harsh realities of the real world.

デザイナー期

2001~2015

[ Design Phase ]

在籍していた広告代理店内の制作部がなくなり、制作はすべて外注にする方針となったため、約2年で退社。その後に入社した10人規模のデザイン事務所で約14年在籍。アーティストの会報誌や、上場企業や信用金庫などの各種媒体に従事。Webが急速に広まる時期だったこともあり、ホームページやFlashによるアニメーションのスキルも並行して身につけた。

Because the in-house production department at the advertising agency where I worked was dissolved and all production was outsourced, I left the company after about two years. I then joined a small design studio of around ten people, where I worked for approximately 14 years. During that time, I was involved in producing artist fan club magazines as well as various media for publicly listed companies and credit unions. As it was a period when the web was rapidly expanding, I also developed skills in website creation and animation using Flash alongside my other work.

転職期

[ Transition Phase ]

2015~2020

とある縁により、上野アメ横で飲食店を運営する法人代表と出会う。これまでの請け負うデザインよりも自社発信に魅力を感じ、30代後半で思い切った転職を敢行。自社店舗のリ・ブランディングやオペレーションのデジタル化、経理業務や新店舗開店などあらゆる業務に奔走。前職より就業時間も行動範囲も大幅に増えたがむしろ充実。2018年に大衆酒場の新ブランドを立ち上げると同時に、新業態の広域展開を目的とする株式法人新設、取締役に就任。

Through a certain connection, I met the representative of a company that operates restaurants in Ameyoko,. Finding greater appeal in creating and promoting in-house brands than in the contract design work I had done up to that point, I made a bold career change in my late 30s. I threw myself into a wide range of responsibilities, including rebranding our own stores, digitizing operations, handling accounting tasks, and opening new locations. Although my working hours and range of activities increased significantly compared to my previous job, I found the experience even more fulfilling. In 2018, I launched a new brand of izakaya, and at the same time established a new joint-stock company aimed at expanding this new business model on a broader scale, assuming the role of director.

独立期

[ Independent Phase ]

2020~

友人と共同制作のハンドメイド作品をネットで販売することを目的に、小遣い稼ぎ程度の軽い気持ちで、個人事業「乾きモン(KAWAKIMON)」を2019年11月に開業。その後、2020年のコロナ禍で止むを得ず前職を退職。地元千葉に戻り、しばらく時間を持て余していた頃、これまでお世話になった方々から仕事の依頼が舞い込むように。個人事業の業種をデザイン業に変更し本業として再始動、今に至る。また、​念願だった猫との暮らしが夢叶う。

In November 2019, I started a sole proprietorship called “KAWAKIMON” with the casual intention of earning some extra pocket money by selling handmade works created jointly with a friend online. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, I had no choice but to leave my previous job. After returning to my hometown of Chiba and finding myself with time on my hands for a while, I began receiving job requests from people who had supported me over the years. I then shifted the focus of my sole proprietorship to design work and relaunched it as my main profession, which continues to this day. I also fulfilled a long-held dream of living with a cat.
